Latitude, interactive prototype for handheld computer
       [collaboration with Zane Wilson]

Latitude was developed for the WAGzone (Wireless Athens Group zone), a 24-block wireless cloud in Athens, Georgia established by the New Media Institute (NMI) at the University of Georgia. It was one of four projects that brought together members of Ideas for Creative Exploration (ICE) with students at NMI to explore the potential for creative work in the WAGzone. Latitude operates around the idea of location, a central precept of wireless computing, informed by the Situationist strategy of dérive, New Urbanism, roadside Americana, and a phenomenological investigation of portable media.
